The American Security AM2020E5 is a compact home security safe designed for storing important documents, valuables, cash, and other personal belongings. It combines a 12-gauge steel body, 1/4-inch solid steel plate door, three-way bolt work, and 45-minute ETL-rated fire protection with an illuminated ESL5 electronic keypad.

45-Minute Fire Protection

The AM2020E5 has an ETL-rated 45-minute fire protection rating at 1,200°F. The safe is designed to maintain an interior temperature below 350°F during the specified fire test conditions.

Steel Construction and Security

The safe features a high-strength 12-gauge steel body and a recessed 1-1/8-inch door constructed with a 1/4-inch solid steel plate and fire-insulating material. Three-way bolt work uses four active 1-1/4-inch chrome-plated steel locking bolts along with two dead bolts.

ESL5 Electronic Lock

The AM2020E5 comes equipped with American Security's ESL5 electronic lock and illuminated keypad. The electronic lock is protected by a drill-resistant hard plate and provides keypad access without requiring a traditional mechanical combination dial.

Interior Storage

The safe provides approximately 2.21 cubic feet of interior capacity and includes one adjustable shelf. The gray fabric interior, back cover, and firewalls provide a finished storage area for documents and personal valuables.

Anchoring

Four pre-cut anchor holes are provided for securing the safe to an appropriate installation surface. Mounting hardware is included according to the current retailer listing. The installation surface should be evaluated to ensure it can support the safe and selected anchoring method.
