The American Security CSC1913 is a compact composite safe designed for residential and commercial storage of cash, jewelry, important documents, and other valuables. It combines a heavy-duty steel construction with a cement-based fire and security barrier, a 4-5/8-inch thick door, UL RSC Level I burglary protection, and a factory-rated 2-hour fire rating at 1,200°F.

Composite Security Construction

The CSC1913 uses a composite construction designed to combine burglary resistance with fire protection. The door incorporates outer and inner steel plates surrounding a cement-based fire and security barrier. The resulting door assembly measures approximately 4-5/8 inches thick.

UL RSC Level I Burglary Protection

The CSC1913 carries a UL RSC Level I burglary rating. American Security states that the safe has been tested against specified forced-entry methods using mechanical and electrical hand tools. This rating should be understood as a certification for the tested security standard rather than a guarantee against every possible attack.

2-Hour Fire Protection

The CSC1913 has a factory-rated 2-hour fire rating at 1,200°F. American Security specifies an interior temperature of approximately 350°F during the applicable fire test. A heat-expandable intumescent door seal expands during elevated temperatures to help limit the entry of smoke and heat.

ESL10XL Electronic Lock

The safe comes standard with a UL-listed ESL10XL electronic lock. The lock is protected by a tempered-glass re-locking plate designed to help protect the locking mechanism if an attempted attack occurs.

A mechanical lock option is also available for configurations requiring a mechanical combination lock instead of the standard electronic lock.

Interior Storage

The CSC1913 provides approximately 1.68 cubic feet of interior storage and includes two adjustable powder-coated shelves. The shelving allows the interior to be configured for documents, jewelry, cash, and other valuables.

Anchoring

An internal recessed anchor hole is provided for securing the safe to a suitable installation surface. Mounting hardware is included with the listed configuration. The supporting structure and installation surface should be evaluated before installation.

Available Lock Option

The CSC1913 is supplied with the ESL10XL electronic lock. A mechanical combination lock option is available as an alternative configuration.
