The Beatbot Sora 30 is a cordless robotic pool cleaner designed to clean pool floors, shallow-water platforms, walls, and waterlines. It combines 6,800 GPH suction, SonicSense™ obstacle avoidance, dual-group roller brushes, a 5.2L filter basket, and up to 5 hours of floor-cleaning runtime in a compact robotic cleaner.
All-Area Underwater Cleaning
The Sora 30 is designed to clean four key areas of a compatible pool:
- Pool floor
- Shallow-water platforms and steps
- Pool walls
- Waterline
The Sora 30 does not clean floating debris from the water surface. For surface skimming, a separate robotic skimmer such as the Beatbot iSkim is required.
Shallow-Water & Platform Cleaning
The Sora 30 can operate in water as shallow as approximately 8 inches and clean compatible tanning ledges, swim-outs, steps, and other shallow platforms.
Beatbot specifies a minimum platform water depth of approximately 0.7 ft (0.2 m), with a minimum platform length and width of approximately 3.3 ft (1 m) each.
6,800 GPH Suction
The Sora 30 features a maximum suction flow rate of 6,800 GPH. Its extended 6.7-inch suction inlet is designed to collect common pool debris, including leaves, hair, sand, insects, and other debris.
Actual cleaning performance may vary depending on pool conditions, debris load, surface material, and other operating factors.
SonicSense™ Obstacle Avoidance
SonicSense™ technology uses 13 sensors, including two ultrasonic sensors, to help the Sora 30 detect obstacles while navigating the pool.
For floor cleaning, the robot uses optimized S-shaped cleaning paths designed to help cover the available pool area efficiently.
Dual-Group Roller Brush System
Four bottom roller brushes work in a dual-group configuration to provide traction and help loosen debris from the pool surface as the robot moves across floors and compatible walls.
5.2L Filter Basket
The Sora 30 features a 5.2L filter basket with a standard 150 μm filter. The included filter is designed for everyday pool debris such as leaves, twigs, sediment, hair, and insects.
An optional 3 μm ultra-fine filter is also supported and is sold separately. The optional filter is intended for finer particle filtration under suitable pool conditions.
Up to 5 Hours of Floor Cleaning
A 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 5 hours of floor-only cleaning under laboratory test conditions. Beatbot lists up to approximately 4.5 hours for cleaning tasks that include the floor, walls, and waterline.
Actual runtime varies according to cleaning mode, pool conditions, debris load, and other factors.
Smart Water-Surface Parking
When cleaning is complete or the battery is low, the Sora 30 can automatically return to the water surface for easier retrieval. SmartDrain™ helps release water from the robot after it surfaces.
When the robot is parked at the water surface and connected, the Beatbot App supports one-touch retrieval and supported control functions.
Beatbot App & Offline Control
The Sora 30 supports 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity through the Beatbot App. It also supports offline operation using the robot's physical controls.
Because of Wi-Fi limitations, app navigation and one-click parking are available when the robot is on the water surface. The robot cannot be remotely navigated through the App while it is cleaning underwater.

Pool Compatibility
The Sora 30 is designed for above-ground and in-ground pools of various shapes, including rectangular, round, kidney-shaped, and freeform pools.
Beatbot lists compatibility with pool surfaces including concrete, ceramic tile, vinyl, fiberglass, stainless steel, and other suitable materials.
The Sora 30 can operate in saltwater pools when the salt concentration is below 5,000 ppm.
